View of Guiyu, up until the mid ninety’s it use to be a small rice farming committee town. Then the transformation of its industry to electrical waste has changed the town with different areas specialising in different parts and stages of the stripping the electrical waste. The rice farming still goes on in parts.

Burning fires of waste that has no value, or is too difficult to retrieve the materials.
